The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

July 22nd, 2006

Don't you just love it when a movie doesn't even give you the slightest hope that it's gonna be anything other than completely sucky? :D Honesty, I like that. This movie is everything but pretentious. The story is complete crap and for some reason they hired a total hillbilly to play the lead, without even bothering to draw up a plot for his life. If you liked the first two, you should know this one is by far the worst. If you liked Need for speed: Underground, you'll like the fact that they've brought even more stuff from the game into the movie - the race track with obstacles, car damage (driving is extremely reckless this time) and above all drifting.

What I would love to see is someone actually doing the drift out of the parking garage that we see in the movie.

What is it with you only watching the crappy movies? Is it a guilty pleasure of yours? If so, I can recommend Blade III (the worst film I actually saw in a cinema), Alien Vs. Predator and, although I haven't watched it, the notorious Catwoman. Looking forward to your reviews! :P

What are you on about? My last review was very positive and encouraging ;) Besides, I don't review all movies I watch, just the ones that are fun to review. :D Like last night I saw Thirteen Days, fantastic movie, but nothing terribly interesting to say in a review.

As for this one, I like the Fast and furious movies, first one was very cool, so I kept watching them. And playing the Need for Speed Underground computer games.

I've no intention of watching Blade, whereas one of the Aliens I saw about 10 years ago and it was utter crap.
